Legislative Advocacy Team, Sierra Club Colorado

The legislative team is perfect for anyone passionate about climate justice and interested in state-level advocacy, policy strategy, and organizing.

The Sierra Club Colorado Legislative Team plays a critical role in shaping state-level environmental policy during the Colorado legislative session (January–May). During session, legislative volunteers help research and analyze legislation, prepare Sierra Club’s positions and action alerts, meet with legislators, support key events like Lobby Day, and collaborate with coalition partners.

Outside of the legislative session (June–December), volunteers can stay engaged and help plan for the upcoming year, staying in touch with legislators, attending town halls, supporting Sierra Club events, and tracking environmental policy news. This is a great opportunity for anyone passionate about climate and environmental justice who wants hands-on experience with state-level advocacy, policy strategy, and organizing.
